Bodegas Rubicón is based at the historic Cortijo de La Geria estate in Tías, documented as far back as 1570. The property brings together a traditional Canarian family house, an old winery and a modern production building where Rubicón wines are made. Its centenary vines grow in the La Geria Natural Park, planted in volcanic ash and sheltered by stone zocos, with Timanfaya as a backdrop. Guided visits explain the landscape, the estate's history and winemaking; the longer option also enters the modern winery and tastes wine straight from the tank. Depending on the tour, guests taste two or three wines with artisan island cheeses. Visitors can also explore at their own pace, buy wine in the shop or eat on the restaurant terrace overlooking the vineyards. It suits wine travellers interested in volcanic soils, traditional architecture and how a historic estate works today.
